Brayden really enjoyed this year’s Valentine’s Day (cards! candy! treats!) and got into the spirit of this annual celebration of sweetness.
Brayden and I started preparing for Valentine’s Day last Sunday. He personally “decorated” each Valentine for his classmates and teachers at daycare. I promptly declared them all masterpieces!
Once he was done, I put the finishing touches on them, and we assembled all 10 classmate gifts (Motts strawberry applesauce pouches + card) and 6 teacher gifts (box of chocolates + card).
On the big day itself, February 14, our little lothario had a ton of fun passing out his gifts to his lovely lady teachers. Here he is giving his “heart” to Miss Alex.
And it goes without saying that Brayden was my sweet Valentine.
Daycare had the kids decorate their own Valentine’s Day treat bag, and Brayden was excited to show it to me when I arrived to pick him up. The whole classroom was outfitted for the event. Miss Debbie and Miss Teri do a fantastic job of getting into the spirit of each holiday.
At home, we check out his goodie bag. Brayden especially loved the handmade cards and treats from his pals, Elijah and Lily.
As for me, my little Valentine got me an adorable card and “I love Mom” mug (by way of his Daddy). This morning I used my new favorite mug for a cup of tea before settled into writing this blog post.
I hope your Valentine’s Day was a sweet one too.
What a fun day for Brayden. It brings back many memories for me. He is sooooo cute.
